We believe that our Values are paramount to our success. By relentlessly upholding our values and investing in our employees we foster a culture of integrity and selfless service, build resilient teams that are ready to solve hard problems, and deliver real impact for the client.
Integrity
Integrity is not about perfection or public virtue signaling; it is about alignment, honesty, and courage in leadership behavior. Integrity is demonstrated when leaders make decisions that reinforce stated values, even when it is uncomfortable or costly. This includes honor (not lying, cheating, stealing or tolerating those who do), but also following through on commitments. Giving someone your word that you will do something is sacred – you will follow through.
OPSEC
Mission success cannot be achieved if we are careless with the information entrusted in our care. Security is paramount in National Security missions. Cyber hygiene is a part of this, as well as CMMC. But it also includes taking great pride in our facility and personnel clearances. We do not engage in water cooler conversations where sensitive information is carelessly shared. We are very careful in what information we do share, and with whom we share it.
Courage
Personal courage is the willingness to do what is uncomfortable but necessary for the good of the organization. We value those who lead by example, communicate effectively, and tirelessly reinforce our values and our commitments through their actions. Courage Never Quits (CNQ).
Excellence
We strive for excellence in all we do. We complete our tasks, follow through on our commitments, and ensure mission success. We hire and promote those who have an intense desire to learn and execute.
Teamwork
Teamwork is not about harmony or camaraderie—it is about collective responsibility, trust, and disciplined behavior. Teamwork is the willingness of a group of leaders to put the success of the organization above their individual status, departments, or egos. We value selfless service.
Initiative
Initiative thrives when people know exactly what matters and feel safe acting on it. We seek alignment and clarity through constant communication, and we value those who take risks and get the work done.
Balance
We constantly strive for work-life balance. The real enemy of work-life balance is organizational dysfunction, not hard work. The frustration and confusion that come from organizational politics and ambiguity are far more exhausting than working hard. People will willingly work hard when they believe their work matters and their leaders are aligned and care about them. Therefore, we strive for clarity in purpose and alignment in our objectives, and we will relentlessly root out internal organizational political behaviors. In addition, we want our employees to live healthy, well-balanced lives. We support this by offering excellent medical and leave benefits. We want our employees to work hard, but also have time for their spiritual, physical and mental health needs. This means keeping our workloads focused, aligned and manageable. We want to promote healthy living through our outward messaging and through our programs and benefits. Employees who have balance in their lives are healthier and happier, and have more energy and drive to execute Spahr’s core missions. Those who feel valued, respected and supported by their team will be more apt to tirelessly pursue success for Spahr.
